Colonial Partners with Two Dallas-Fort Worth Area Organizations

Colonial has partnered with Trinity Habitat for Humanity to provide funding and home buyer education to assist low-to-moderate income families in Fort Worth. Colonial has pledged up to $2 million in working capital to allow Trinity Habitat for Humanity to build more homes in the community.

Armando Velazquez, Branch Manager, Fort Worth – Metro, has provided home buyer education to individuals and families and we would like to thank him for representing Colonial so graciously.

Since 1989, Trinity Habitat for Humanity has built more than 800 new homes and has provided home repairs and to more than 1,370 homes in the Greater Fort Worth Community.

William Mann, Jr. Community Development Corporation (WMCDC)

Also in 2021, Colonial began a partnership with the William Mann, Jr. Community Development Corporation (WMCDC). WMCDC’s mission is to assist economic development initiatives by providing financing, in conjunction with an investor bank and/or a traditional lending source, for small, minority and women-owned businesses, with a special emphasis on assisting businesses in low-to-moderate income areas of Tarrant and Dallas County and surrounding areas.

The small businesses that WMCDC works with are typically not yet bankable with traditional lending. Their goal is to have each of the clients to qualify for a traditional bank loan the next time they need financing.
