Colonial Gives Record Donation to Housing Opportunities of Fort Worth

On February 6, the Colonial Savings Foundation donated $30,000 to benefit Housing Opportunities of Fort Worth (HOFW). Colonial has provided funding to the HOFW programs for more than 25 years.

HOFW continues to help families access and maintain affordable homeownership as they have since 1989. The HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency offers a number of direct services at no-charge including, one-on-one homebuyer education, counseling assistance with mortgage delinquencies, budget and money management skills, reverse mortgage counseling and more.

Housing Opportunities of Fort Worth is staffed by professional counselors with extensive knowledge of housing matters and community resources. The Fort Worth-based non-profit also collaborates with community organizations which can provide further assistance to homeowners.

Ken Majka, Colonial VP of Compliance, presented the grant to David O'Brien, Executive Director of HOFW. Majka has served on the Board of Directors for the HOFW for more than 10 years.
